Profile

name: Richard Lisaj | location: Toronto, Canada | contact: richard@artsonicmedia.com
After completing several George Brown College courses in Office Systems, I begun to work for a small U.S. based company that specialized in robotics, automation and graphic design systems for the textile industry. The company was one of the pioneers in distribution of innovative graphic and interface systems geared towards markets specialized in apparel promotional goods. During these years I travelled extensively across North America, setting up systems, providing training to clients and attending a number of Sporting Goods industry trade shows.

In 1997 I began a career with one of Canada's major banks, where I still work today. Initially, as a Business Specialist, I looked after maintenance of knowledge repository of internal processes and procedures. In 2002 I completed the Internet Business and Technology certification program at University of Toronto. Since 2005 I've been working with a team responsible for design and ongoing maintenance of online communication tools and business support applications. I have participated in numerous projects which allowed me to master my existing web design skills. Thanks to extensive hands-on use of Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash, Java Script, XML and CSS I've gained additional experience and developed a strong understanding of successful web site planning, development and implementation.

In my personal time, I enjoy other computer-based activities such as digital audio recording, music production and digital photography. Music that I have recorded and produced (under the name of Art Sonic) has been downloaded over 10, 000 times from various web-based music distribution sites. My personal recording studio is well equipped, and capable of producing professional, Internet and radio ready material.

I'm also passionate about photography. I have completed studio and black and white photography courses at Sheridan College.
